Housing Leases

The leasing company leased a six-story office building and had already renovated it in preparation for commercial use. The developer, however, took possession of the office building in breach of contract in an attempt to lease it to another party under more favorable terms.

The result was that the leasing company suffered major economic losses. At trial, the leasing company prevailed, and the developer had to pay damages for breach of contract.
